The PA Department of Agriculture in partnership with Adams County Office for Aging, Inc. (ACOFA), provides vouchers which can be used by adults age 60 and over to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at local farmer’s markets. Vouchers are available at the ACOFA office to people age 60+ who live in Adams County and meet the income guidelines. A free Welcome to Medicare Seminar will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Adams County Office for Aging, Inc., 318 W. Middle St., Gettysburg. Each year from October 15 – December 7th, Medicare beneficiaries may change their Part D prescription coverage for the following year. This includes stand-alone Part D plans and Medicare Advantage Plans with Part D coverage included. Volunteers and staff are available through the APPRISE Program to help people view their options and enroll in a new plan if needed.
